SELECTION & APPLICATION
PACEM IN TERRIS SCHOLARS
Students are considered for Pacem In Terris as either "Pacem In Terris Scholars" or "Pacem In Terris Associates."
The Associate Application Form is for those students that will be sponsored by an individual, group or organization.
Students looking to obtain a Scholars Application Form can contact the Office of Pacem In Terrris.
Pacem In Terris Scholars receive full scholarships. Students are identified and chosen for this
program through a series of well-defined steps, indicated below.
Pacem In Terris identifies nations that fall within the parameters of the program's mission
Contact is made with the nation's embassy in Washington, DC and a working relationship is
In conjunction with the nation's National Ministry of Education or with the equivalent office
determined by that nation, students are presented for consideration. Candidates must possess the
appropriate character, educational abilities, and personal and relational skills to complete a
rigorous course of study at La Roche College.
The Ministry Of Education submits an evaluation and recommendation of each applicant for
consideration by Pacem In Terris.
The Ministry of Education or the officially designated government representative enters into a
signed articulation agreement with La Roche College, establishing the negotiated terms of
partnership. In the event that diplomatic relations are curtailed with a specific nation, an
independent panel is convened to assist in the presentation of candidates.
Students are evaluated and chosen for the program by Pacem In Terris, and
full scholarships are awarded.
PACEM IN TERRIS ASSOCIATES
Students who are not "officially presented candidates" of their nation (see Pacem In Terris
Scholars), but who desire to attend La Roche College and participate in the Pacem in Terris program
may apply for status as a Pacem In Terris Associate.
Students are selected as Pacem In Terris Associates based on their secondary school academic
performance and national examination results. Successful candidates receive partial scholarships --
in the range of $3,000 to $5,000 per academic year -- and must guarantee all other funds.
Agencies may present candidates for Pacem In Terris Associate status. Articulations may be
developed on a case-by-case basis.
The basic process of applying for Pacem In Terris Associate status includes the following.
Students must complete an application form. Students may complete the application form as individuals or as partially funded students presented
by agencies or organizations.
Students must meet all academic and other stated requirements.
